Why cheetah have tear stains

picture-43.pngIn the beginning long before humans were alive, the cheetahs face was covered with their cream colored fur, the cheetah lived in groups, that time and their leader was named Conall. He was made leader of the group because he was kind, strong, protective and because had different spots and because it was rare, they called him a king cheetah.

Conall was a powerful leader and was feared by many, the cheetahs used to live with lots of other predators but all of them were so terrified of him that they left and found another place to live and Conall decided to take the land.  Many days later the lions came and demanded for the land, Conall disagreed and the lions were so furious that the lions declared war, as the lions left, all the cheetahs got ready for their battle at dawn.

On the next day, all the cheetahs got ready for the battle as they saw the lions climbing the rock, the cheetahs were nervous but had no choice but to battle, they heard the lion's roar and attacked.  The battle went on for hours, lots of animals died, Conall pounced on the leader of the lions, they fought but both died as one lion saw his dead leader he retreated and the rest of the lions ran off into the distance.  the cheetahs won but when they saw their leader they were sad and cried for a very long time until the tear stains marked their face.

As I sit and think of ANZAC day…

I think of when I woke up to see the sunrise I noticed the poppy i put on the porch last night and it reminded me of the parade so I put it on my chest, got dressed and got in the car. We saw the ANZAC parade and went to join them.  I saw many people wearing poppies, men and women standing in respect, all of the crosses planted in the fields with bright poppies  beside them and the colorful scenery. I can smell the gorgeous perfume that people wear, I love the wonderful music tingling in my ears, I feel the warmth of the sun spreading towards my body. I feel very proud for all the soldiers that fought in the war and that i'm not in a war.
